  • McLaren Speedtail Unboxing by McLaren Dallas

This is most definitely not your average unboxing video.

Most unboxing videos typically deal with some kind of gadget or even a toy, but what McLaren Dallas | Avondale Premier Collection has just launched is not your typical unboxing video. In this video, you’ll get a chance to see what it’s like to unbox the new and absolutely breathtaking McLaren Speedtail. Arriving in a massive crate, the new hypercar was delicately unboxed and unwrapped by a whole team. From there, it was backed out of the box and into the parking lot where the onlookers could finally gaze upon this Speedtail and its magnificent spec. As for the Speedtail itself, this model has a top speed of 250 mph and can run from 0 to 186 mph in just 13 seconds. That kind of performance is made possible thanks to a hybrid powertrain that produces 1,036 horsepower and 848 lb-ft of torque. You can click play down below to see the unboxing event for yourself.

  • McLaren Artura Arrives Tonight

Yesterday we were glad to introduce their Formula 1 team and car for the 2021 season, so for an encore performance, the McLaren Artura arrives tonight. Daniel Ricciardo has been hard at work pushing their latest supercar to its limits, and they will be streamed at 7:01 PM ET. Because their V8 engines are easily capable of 1,000 horsepower, the street-legal car will borrow V6 technology from their Formula 1 coworkers. It will also herald a new electric future for the brand. Will it be an electric car with a fire breathing range extender? How will it be placed in their current lineup? These questions will be answered tonight, so cancel your plans to join us.

  • McLaren Senna GTR Can-Am #3 of 3 For Sale

Undefeated is how the world remembers Bruce McLaren. Winning every race in the Canadian-American Challenge is how the 1969 season immortalized him and his team. To pay homage to their efforts, McLaren Special Operations built three examples of the Senna in exacting detail. They represent three examples of the McLaren M8D, a supercar ahead of its time.

Being the last of this trio, Car #3 represents the full potential of MSO. They are the only street-legal McLaren Senna GTRs ever built, and cars #1 and #2 are at home in exquisite collections. Saving the best for last, this is the only car to have a hand-painted 50th-anniversary logo. It signifies how far the brand has evolved in a half-century.

The carbon fiber body is covered in McLaren Orange and emblazoned with the Speedy Kiwi in prominent and hidden areas. Vinyl decals are ok for lesser machines, so the Kiwis and the Canadian Flag were also painted by hand. Zircon was used for the brightwork along with Liquid Silver in all the right places. Nothing was overlooked, as the exhaust, heat extractors, wheels, and even the gas pedal are unique to this car.

Before leaving the factory they bestowed it with the 25 horsepower upgrade. Since then it has only accrued 44 miles, and Bruce would not approve of such a machine sitting idle. Perhaps for a perfect finishing touch, the rear spoiler has the same color scheme as the M8D, with etched Can-Am logos through the white endplates.

  • 2020 Corvette Stingray vs. McLaren 570S: Supercars In Seconds

Our friend Matthew Jones is the Sales Manager at McLaren Tampa Bay. As a part of Dimmitt Automotive Group, many of us drive past one of their locations on our daily commute. Even though we live in Florida’s most densely populated county, Dimmitt is the sole importer of English Supercars. That’s why you will also encounter a healthy selection of new Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Jaguar & Land Rover to peruse. Their domestic brands are Chevrolet and Cadillac, so my CTS-V is allowed to share space with royalty when it’s time for service.

Given such a wide offering of new cars for sale, it is only natural that two mid-engine V8 sports cars come face-to-face. Such is the case as we see a 2020 Corvette Stingray vs. a McLaren 570S. The American is new, and selling for well over sticker, and the Englishman has been around since 2016. All things being equal, many would never cross-shop them, but a pre-owned McLaren 570S and a new Corvette for sale are in the same ballpark.

McLaren offers 562 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque to the Corvette’s 495 hp and 470 lb-ft. McLaren has a 7-speed dual-clutch that offers 22 mpg. Corvette has an 8-speed for 27 mpg. McLaren offers 5 cubic feet of cargo space from the front cargo compartment. Corvette has 12.6 from the front and rear cargo holds. This space is cut in half should you remove the top, a trick the hardtop McLaren can’t perform. Corvette is heavier by 400 lbs because it has an aluminum spaceframe instead of the McLaren’s carbon fiber monocoque. Usually, we can clearly see an advantage, but both cars have much to offer. That’s why you should click the button below and choose for yourself, and allow Dimmit Automotive to put you in the car of your dreams.
